It was a big day. Eliza had been the Shabbat helper that morning, and then we came home early from school for an nap (after a random lunch at Emerald City Coffee, playing Dora Candyland).
With only 3 weeks notice, the Oremlands had thrown together a very small ceremony at their house for 3pm. We all suited up and got therein time. After the ceremony and some “nibbles,” I drove the kids an hour in rush hour traffic to meet Rachel Bernkopf at our house. It was worth it though, because I drive back to meet the family for a memorable meal at Quince.
